Development of the west side of Elaiorema

Elaiorema is a stream running through the Municipality of Pylaia Thessaloniki. The areas to the left and the right of the stream were designed as free access to public spaces. The spaces along the stream were transformed into recreational places for the inhabitants of the area around it. The transformation includes walking paths, resting places, plazas, pedestrian bridges, playgrounds for kids, a bar, and a space for parking. The project was complete, including urban furniture, lighting, and equipment, surrounded by organized vegetation. It was one of the urban renewal projects for the Municipalities of Thessaloniki, funded and executed by the ESPA program with European financial support.
